CAIR-Houston Meets with Council Member M.J. Khan

(HOUSTON, TX 5/30/07) – CAIR-Houston’s Director Shariq Abdul Ghani and President Dr. Tarek Hussein met with Council Member M.J. Khan today to discuss more details and action-items from his meeting with Homeland Security’s Secretary Michael Chertoff.

Item’s discussed were CAIR-Houston’s role in organizing a National Town Hall through a phone conference and Director Ghani’s role on the Mayor’s Task Force for Airport Security.

Council Member Khan expressed his support for CAIR-Houston’s “Flying While Muslim” campaign and hopes to see Muslim-American’s report incidents arisen from racial profiling or bias.
