CAIR-Houston Conducts Immigration Law Workshop At Masjid Abu Bakr

(HOUSTON, TX 6/2/07) - Over 60 people attended an Immigration Law Workshop conducted by CAIR-Houston's Director Shariq Abdul Ghani, President Tarek Hussein, and Attorney and Municipal Judge Burhan Nomani. The workshop was hosted by ISGH's Masjid Abu Bakr in Clear Lake.

Topics covered in the workshop were citizenship delay, bringing relatives from foreign lands, various visa issues and concerns, an update on immigration legislation, all followed by an extensive question and answer session by Attorney Nomani.

The workshop was designed to empower all Muslims, regardless of their immigration designation, with the knowledge on how the system works.

Director Shariq Abdul Ghani also spoke of the services which CAIR-Houston's office can provide to Muslim American's as well as project and campaign updates.

This workshop will be repeated in mosque's throughout the city of Houston in the month of June, and is a part of a CAIR-Houston's Law Workshop Series.
