CAIR-AZ REPS MEET WITH LOCAL FBI AGENTS

(PHOENIX, AZ, 12/21/05) - On Tuesday, December 20, representatives of the Arizona chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-AZ) met with special agents from the Phoenix office of the FBI. The purpose of the meeting was to help build bridges between the local Muslim community and law enforcement officials.  FBI officials said they are working hard on an extensive community outreach program to Arizona Muslims.  They also said that speakers were available to speak to the Muslim community on a variety of topics.

"The meeting was very positive and I am optimistic about the current and future relationship that we share with the FBI," said CAIR-AZ Director Nure Elatari.
